Job Description

Join our team as a Mechanical Assembler specializing in the assembly of flight simulators. This role involves building subassemblies and installations, ensuring high-quality standards and safety procedures are met.

Responsibilities

• Read, interpret, and follow blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions.
• Operate hand tools, electrical tools, and equipment such as molding, sanding/cutting acrylic, measuring tools, and light machinery.
• Maintain inventory of products in workstations.
• Perform quality work checks, identify product defects, and record identified defects.
• Rework and repair assembled equipment and products according to engineering specification changes.
• Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures.
• Operate fork trucks to load/unload material and finished products.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Climb up to 6 feet (25 of the time).
• Lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
• Work in a standing position for up to 8 hours per day.
• Work 100 onsite.

Essential Skills

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Knowledge of and experience using basic hand tools.
• Ability to use drills and drill bits.
• Mechanical skills.
• Ability to climb up to 6 feet (25 of the time).
• Ability to get along with a team.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Selected candidate will need steel-toed boots, which are not provided.

Work Environment

This is a first shift role with hours typically from 6 AM to 3:00 PM. The work environment involves using various technologies and equipment, with a focus on safety standards. Dress code includes steel-toed boots, which are required but not provided.

This is a Contract position based out of Dulles, VA.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Dulles,VA.
