The Boeing (BCA) Boeing Commercial Airlines team is looking for a highly motivated Experienced Major Cost Recovery (CR) Estimating Analyst located in North Charleston, South Carolina. This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
On our team you will develop estimates and prepare fully substantiated claims including all costs associated with disruption resulting from supplier non-performance (i.e., late parts, non-conforming parts, manufacturing disruption and engineering support). The selected candidate will work with program operations, (IE) Industrial Engineering and Finance functions to understand the event. Work with the appropriate contracts and legal to understand culpability of the supplier and develop the estimate of the damages including supporting documentation to support the claim in a settlement with the supplier. This position will also develop estimating and pricing methods for new situations.
Position Responsibilities:
Integrates with airplane programs, supply chain, engineering, finance, and legal to develop comprehensive claims for all costs incurred as a result of supplier-caused disruption
Prepares detailed and accurate Major Cost Recovery claims and ensure those estimates are handed off to our Supply Chain counterparts in a timely manner
Conducts ad-hoc analysis needed and supporting each team member with their analysis by fostering a collaborative team environment
Influences the overall CR business in terms of throughput and effectiveness
Defines the scope of the impacts and align all functions to the estimate scope, approach and timing
Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
Collaborates with Program and Supply Chain Leaders to prioritize recovery projects
Advises Leadership on the technical, qualitative, quantitative, and legal aspects of in-work recoveries and scoping assessments when necessary
Develops, implements, and continuously improves standard technical approaches, products and processes for the cost recovery team
Presents updates to leadership in multiple forums (SAM) Special attention meetings, (LOS) Line of Sight and (BPRs) Business Program Reviews
This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor’s Degree or higher
3+ years of experience with Financial Data Analysis
3+ years of experience with business cases and financial modeling
3+ years of direct experience with risk assessment methodologies and tools
Experience using strong presentation skills and the ability to effectively communicate data in Senior Leadership briefings
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
5+ years of experience working with sensitivity and/or risk analysis models
5+ years of experience conducting assessments of associated financial risks and opportunities
Experience in aerospace manufacturing and/or BCA Supply Chain
Experience or interest in teaching, mentoring, helping support development of team business case analysis and strategy skillset
Ability to be a big-picture thinker with broad BCA experience and the ability to decompose complex scenarios

Summary pay range: $84,150 - $113,850
