To continue our standard of excellence, Piedmont is seeking a motivated, reliable leader to join our team as a Unit Manager, Team Member Services (TMS) in our Ground Handling Department. The primary responsibility of the position is to plan, direct, supervise, and coordinate work activities of subordinates and staff in the TMS office in accordance with established policies and procedures. The successful candidate will have previous experience in a busy office environment and proven success as a team leader with the ability to preplan. This position will report to the Department Manager, Team Member Services.
Essential Duties:
Oversight of the TMS office and station training department
Administrative duties to include daily/weekly/monthly reports relating to staffing, workman’s compensation, dependability, airport badge accountability, and mandatory training documentation
Prepare and maintain employment records related to events such as hiring, termination, leaves, transfers, promotions
Compile and prepare reports and documents pertaining to personnel activities
Represent organization at worker’s compensation hearings and investigations
Maintain all work schedules, vacation schedules, payroll processing, and corrective action for dependability
Keep company goals and customer expectations in mind when overseeing daily operations
Coach and provide career development to the staff
Correct non-compliant behavior and impose disciplinary action as required
Understand the corporate culture, policies, and goals, and take measures to implement these into daily work routines
Job Qualifications and Competencies:
Previous experience in a busy office environment
Proven success as a team leader with ability to preplan
Ability to work independently, set and meet own deadlines
Able to defuse conflicts among team members and administer corrective action as necessary
Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Prior experience with internal controls processes for accountable items
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous management experience in an airport hub environment
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management or related field
Familiarity with Roster Apps
Knowledge of Worker’s Compensation Guidelines and Processes
Work Environment:
Standard office environment, use of telephones, computers, and other office equipment
Some travel may be required
Airport ramp environment, subject to varied weather conditions and elevated noise levels
All shifts including weekends, nights, holidays and/or irregular shifts

Starting Rate:
