Job Description:

Tasks

  • The Duty Manager leads the Hub Control Center (HCC) as Brussels Airlines’ station manager, ensuring compliance with security, legal, and international standards (IATA, ICAO, IOSA, DGR). They coordinate services during disruptions, act as SPOC for 40+ stakeholders, and oversee daily flight operations.
  • Responsibilities include: updating operational systems, guest and stakeholder communication, resource planning, reporting, and supporting Ground Ops projects.
  • The role involves leading, coaching, and developing the HCC team, ensuring quality and customer satisfaction. On-site duty is from 05:00 to 23:00, with 24/7 on-call availability.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with 5+ years in aviation.
  • Strong knowledge of check-in, boarding, reservations, ticketing, and airport procedures. Proficient in reservation systems and Windows apps (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Fluent in Dutch & French; strong English required, German is a plus.
  • Analytical, adaptable, stress-resistant, and a proactive problem-solver.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with a flair for diplomacy and customer care. Commercially minded, team-oriented, and a creative thinker.
  • Able to manage people and resolve issues with a win-win approach.
  • Decision-maker with a focus on excellence.
