We’re looking for an Avionics Manager who’s not afraid to get their hands dirty, because in this role, up to 70% of your time will still be on the aircraft. This is a great opportunity for someone who’s led large avionics projects but still finds satisfaction in the work itself. You’ll be based at Meacham, but your days will stay interesting with opportunities to visit job sites across the area.
We’re a small, flexible company that values people, prioritizes work-life balance, and gives leaders room to lead. If you’re prepared to take ownership, guide a high-performing team, and stay engaged in the hands-on work you love, this is your next step.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and actively participate in the installation, troubleshooting, inspection, and testing of avionics systems on business aircraft, including Challenger, Learjet, Citation, Falcon, and Embraer models.
- Perform complex modifications such as flight deck integrations, radar and comm upgrades, nav enhancements, and custom wiring harness fabrication.
- Interpret and apply wiring diagrams, schematics, maintenance manuals, and blueprints to support accurate, high-quality execution.
- Conduct functional and operational testing to verify the performance and reliability of systems and repairs.
- Maintain oversight of equipment calibration and ensure proper tool use, care, and storage.
- Ensure strict compliance with FAA regulations, our Repair Station Manual (RSM), and all applicable service bulletins.
- Use Corridor Aviation Service Software for work order tracking, documentation, and logbook entries.
- Serve as the bridge between avionics and departments like maintenance, quality, and project management to drive cohesive results.
- Mentor and develop technicians through hands-on training, guidance, and performance feedback.
- Lead by example, this is a working manager role. You'll balance oversight with active participation on the shop floor.
- Collaborate with corporate leadership to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.
This position is built for a true leader who’s eager to work, ready to guide, and unwilling to fully hang up the tools just yet.
