HQ Aero is currently recruiting for STRUCTURES TECHNICIANS in TUCSON, AZ
Responsibilities:
As a Structures Technician, you will be required to:
- Remove / install aircraft components as required.
- Fabricate and or modify structural modifications on aircraft parts.
- Perform minor structural repairs on composite components either attached or detached.
- Assist in conducting hidden damage inspection of aircraft structures and aircraft component repair.
- Assist with complex structural repairs either on or off aircraft.
- Perform mechanical / electrical removals and installations as required.
- Inspect confined areas of airframe and assist in providing time estimates as required.
- Adhere to general work rules and company policies and procedures applicable to work area and job functions.
Qualifications, Experience & Requirements:- Minimum of 3 years of structural sheet metal repair / modification experience or substantiated similar experience -and- FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) or Airframe (A) license is preferred.
- Corporate jet aircraft or commercial aircraft experience preferred.
- CRJ airframe experience a plus.
- MRO / Heavy Maintenance experience required.
- If former military, those with military aircraft maintenance experience (Depot/Isochronal/Phase inspections) a plus.

- Minimum of 8 years of structural sheet metal repair / modification experience or sustained similar experience.
- Corporate jet aircraft or commercial aircraft experience preferred.
- CRJ airframe experience a plus.
- MRO / Heavy Maintenance experience required.
- If former military, those with military aircraft maintenance experience (Depot/Isochronal/Phase inspections) a plus.
- Standard Aviation Tool Kit is required.
- Completed Sheet metal A/C Tech school or equivalent Training.
- Able to interpret and work with mechanical engineering drawings.
- Ability to effectively communicate (verbal & written) aircraft status.
- Demonstrated ability to train other employees is preferred.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
- Criminal Background Check & Compliant to FAA Drug and Alcohol screening checks are mandatory.
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language in accordance with Title 14 CFR Part 65.
Job Type: - Full-time, Contract
- Shift Schedule: 12-hour shifts - 3 days 12 hours per day / off for 4 days / work 4 days 12 hours per day / off for 3 days - Candidate must be willing to work either shift. Overtime is available.
Essential Job Functions- Must be able to work as a part of a team in a high-stress, fast-paced environment.
- Must be a self-starter, able to work with little to no guidance. Must be highly motivated, detail-oriented, organized, with the ability to multi-task.
- Must be computer proficient.
- Physical Demands: The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, Position requires frequent walking, standing and/or climbing.
- Work Environment: Ability to work in confined spaces. FAR Part 145 aircraft maintenance in a hangar and ramp environment.
