Arconic is currently in search of Maintenance Millwright (Technician) to join our Kawneer team in Lethbridge.

Position Summary: Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Millwright is responsible for ensuring smooth operation of equipment, minimizing downtime, manages the startup and shut down of equipment and troubleshoot equipment issues
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Adherence to all company safety policies
- Maintain and upkeep plant equipment and facilities
- Troubleshoot and repair all plant equipment
- Complete all assigned work in a timely manner
- Actively participate in the emergency response team
- Ability to work in a team and independently
- Analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to use the onsite Preventative Maintenance EAM program with provided tablet
- Other duties as assigned
General Qualifications/Experience:
- Journeyperson Millwright ticket licensed in Alberta (required)
- Good understanding of hydraulic systems, conveyor systems, pumps, air compressors, mobile equipment, overhead cranes, piping, welding practices, and all plant
- Minimum of 5 years of experience focusing on mechanical equipment maintenance
Preferred Qualifications/Experience:
- Boiler certification and/or experience
- Gas pipe fitter
Certificates & Licenses:
- Journeyperson Millwright certificate (required)
- Confined Space entry, Fall Protection, Forklift Operator, Genie Boom Operator, First Aid, any other safety related tickets an asset
Work Environment/Conditions: Manufacturing environment with a regular Monday to Friday work schedule. Must be able to work shift work. Occasional overtime may be required. Position is in a unionized environment.
