Job Title: Aircraft Maintenance and Repair
Job DescriptionThis safety-sensitive position involves consistent and accurate disassembly, cleaning, evaluation, performance of repairs, modifications, and assembly of aircraft components in accordance with approved data. The role requires inclusion in an FAA-approved Drug and Alcohol screening program.
Responsibilities
- Work independently with limited supervision.
- Use precision measuring instruments and gauges such as feeler gauges, dial indicators, micrometers, and calipers.
- Perform repair of detail components by filing, stoning, lapping, and polishing.
- Utilize power and hand tools for drilling, sanding, and riveting.
- Write clear and concise evaluation results and communicate repair requirements for work performed within the facility or sent to outside sources.
- Adhere to all EHS requirements, FAA, EASA regulations, company rules, policies, procedures, and corporate initiatives.
- Follow procedures found in component maintenance manuals, service bulletins, ORIs, OREIs, drawings, check sheets, etc.
- Be competent in the use of torque wrenches and have a complete understanding of SAC torque specifications.
- Chemically treat repaired surfaces in accordance with approved data.
- Review and interpret related paperwork to ensure proper identification of parts, operational sequence, and record information on appropriate documentation.
- Ream, tap, change studs, install helicoils, and install bushings and liners by shrink fitting and arbor press.
Essential Skills- Proficiency in using precision measuring tools such as micrometers.
- Experience in aircraft and aviation maintenance.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
- Automotive trade school preferred.
- FAA Airframe license is beneficial but not required.

This is a Contract position based out of Trumbull, Connecticut.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.50 - $23.50/hr.
