How youll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities) Are you ready for a challenge in a fast-paced dynamic organization that has several touch points with cross functional stakeholders throughout Delta Material Services (DMS), a wholly owned subsidiary of Delta Air Lines and Delta Technical Operations (TOC)? This position is for a Finance Analyst who will support the finance teams for both DMS and TOC located in Atlanta GA. Key responsibilities include: Disseminate, coordinate and consolidate DMS financial activity i.e., aggregate and analyze financial inputs that come from multiple stakeholders.Continuously strive for improvement by identifying business process gaps driving disconnect. Identify automation opportunities.Participate in the development of the monthly, quarterly, and long range OPEX and Capital forecasts for DMS.Evaluate performance to plan through variance analysis to understand cost drivers and provide recommendations to the leadership team on potential counter measures that can be deployed to course correct (includes articulating impact to financials)Executes on task associated with the monthly financial close process i.e., preparing and entering journal entries into SAP, etc. Construct and maintain financial models and continually review models and assumptions to ensure that models produce accurate results.Work with multiple data sources, pull extracts, analyze findings, synthesize data, and summarize analysis into meaningful hierarchies. Coordinate with the EM team responsible for establishing maintenance repair rates to be aligned on assumptions for USM and Salvage material. Build presentations, and present findings to senior leaders (includes understanding data sources, pulling extracts, analyzing findings, synthesizing data, and summarizing findings)Plan, coordinate and execute ad-hoc tasks that support business needs

Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles. Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency. Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.
What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications) Accounting experience is strongly preferred MBA or CPA 1 to 3 years of related experience highly preferred. Demonstrate working knowledge of SAP, Hyperion, SAP Analysis for Office, Tableau, PowerPoint, Blackline, Strong Excel (Pivots, Macro’s ,etc.) and Microsoft suite
