You will be the Supplier Quality Engineer for the Quality team. Our team is responsible for ensuring the quality of products and processes.

What You Will Be Doing

As the Supplier Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for applying quality principles in the areas of design, incoming material, production control, product evaluation, program performance, reliability, inventory control, and/or research and development. You will collaborate with program management, engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and customers on quality-related issues to ensure quality standards are in place.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Performing technical evaluations, including product requirements, specifications, models/designs, drawings, and procedures
  • Engaging in product failure investigations, material review board decisions, and corrective/preventive action
  • Developing strategies and systems designed to improve internal and/or supplier performance and productivity
  • Evaluating quality systems for deficiency identification and correction
  • Designing and analyzing inspection and testing processes, mechanisms, and equipment

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must possess an active Secret clearance to start.


Basic Qualifications:
-Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 5 years of professional experience; or 3 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree.
-The position requires about 10-25 travel within the United States
-Ability to obtain a security clearance
-Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
-Root Cause Analysis experience (Cause Mapping, 5-Why, Fishbone, etc.)
-Experience conducting First Article Inspections (FAI) to AS9102 and working with government customers
Desired Skills:
-Experience in Quality Management Systems, Industry Standards and LM command media e.g., AS9100, ISO-9001, IPC and J-STD
-Experience performing complete root cause/corrective and/or preventive action as related to internal and external customers and supplier performance
-Working knowledge of continuous improvement
-Strong communication skills
-Six Sigma Green Belt certification
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
