Job Description:
A vacancy for a TASSE64 Ground Support Equipment Engineer has arisen within Airbus Defence & Space Service organization. The successful applicant will join MRTT GSE department, located in Getafe (Madrid area)
The MRTT GSE department is in charge of the identification, design, development and validation on aircraft of all ground support equipment needed for the operation and maintenance of the aircrafts in the customer operations.
Additionally, it also provides technical support to the Customer in the daily use of the GSEs at the Air Bases.
Ground Support Equipment is a key activity for the company as our equipment are used every day in every aircraft and in all Customers around the world.
Main tasks for the development activity:
- Preparation of Technical Specifications and requirement collection
- Technical support to supplier selection
- Design follow-up
- Prototype Manufacturing follow-up
- Validation of the equipment on the aircraft
- Qualification and Compatibility Tests
Other tasks to be performed:
- Preparation of GSE recommendations for the Customers.
- Evaluations (Site Surveys) of the Customer existing capabilities concerning GSE
- Provide technical assistance to the Customers
- Supporting other departments
- AMTAC back office in GSE customer queries
- Support on installation and commissioning of GSEs at customer MOB
- Analysis of A/C modification and the impact on developed GSEs
Usefull skills:
- Fluent English/Spanish (oral, written)
- Strong team working with and open mind-set
- Good verbal and communication skills
- Flexibility (work in different environments, ready to travel and work in multinational teams)
- Creativity to come up with new ideas
