PURPOSE
- To assure SITAs competitive strength and business growth globally.
- Perform all Service Operations activities according to SITA standards and procedures.
- Maximizing customer satisfaction by the delivery of first-class support activities and integrating well in a multicultural, fast paced, international organization.
- To manage and assist the Service Operations team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide L2 and L3 support for network-related issues, including troubleshooting and resolving complex network problems.
- Monitor network performance and ensure high availability and reliability of network systems.
- Configure and maintain network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
- Implement and manage network security measures to protect against unauthorized access, vulnerabilities, and threats.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to design and implement network solutions that meet business requirements.
- Perform network upgrades and patches to ensure the latest security and performance enhancements are in place.
- Document network configurations, processes, and procedures for future reference and compliance purposes.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior network engineers and support staff.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in network administration and support, with a focus on L2 and L3 support.
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols and technologies, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF, and MPLS.
- Experience with network security technologies such as VPNs, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and NAC.
- Proficiency in configuring and managing network devices from vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, PaloAlto & Fortinet.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Relevant certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, JNCIP, PCNSE or equivalent are highly desirable.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with network automation tools and scripting languages such as Python or Ansible.
- Knowledge of cloud networking and hybrid cloud environments.
- Knowledge of security networking, Hands on is a very much appreciated
- Familiarity with network monitoring and management tools such as SolarWinds, Nagios, .. etc
