Job Description:

Shift: 1st shift, M - F 

Our client, a leading aerospace and defense organization, is seeking an experienced and professional HR Coordinator to support daily Human Resources operations in Grand Prairie, TX.

This role serves as a key point of contact for employees, applicants, and managers while supporting onboarding, payroll processing, employee records management, recruitment coordination, compliance, employee engagement, and HR operational activities. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and experience supporting HR functions in a fast-paced environment.

Job Summary

The HR Coordinator supports daily Human Resources operations by assisting with core HR functions including onboarding, payroll support, employee records management, compliance, recruitment coordination, employee engagement, learning and development, and HR operations. This role works closely with HR team members and operational leadership to support HR initiatives, maintain employee documentation, coordinate HR processes, and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Serve as a first point of contact for HR-related inquiries from employees, applicants, and managers
  • Assist with employee onboarding, pre-boarding activities, orientation sessions, and new hire documentation
  • Organize, maintain, and update employee files, HR documentation, and training records in compliance with company policies and retention requirements
  • Support bi-weekly payroll processing activities including timecard review and approvals
  • Maintain HRIS records and process employee updates including:
    • New hires
    • Transfers
    • Promotions
    • Organizational changes
    • Employee status updates
  • Assist with recruitment coordination, benefits administration, leave tracking, compliance activities, performance management, and talent support initiative
  • Coordinate and track employee training and development activities
  • Maintain HR systems, reports, SharePoint sites, and employee records
  • Participate in operational meetings and support employee relations processes
  • Assist with employee engagement initiatives, communications, recognition programs, and HR events
  • Support HR projects, continuous improvement initiatives, and administrative activities
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive employee information
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, or related field preferred
  • 3–5 years of Human Resources or related administrative experience preferred
  • Experience in aerospace or manufacturing environments preferred
  • Experience with HRIS systems and payroll systems preferred
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office including:
    • Outlook
    • Word
    • Excel
    • PowerPoint
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong customer service and employee support mindset
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment

Additional Information

  • No travel required
  • Aerospace industry experience is a plus but not required
